We are a mission of the Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church.  We offer healing prayer services, individual prayer and an active training program for those who want to:

• receive prayer
• learn more about healing prayer
• join our prayer and healing ministry
• explore starting a healing ministry at your church.

Members of our prayer team come from different Christian denominations and backgrounds, as do the people for whom we pray.  Those who are available to pray consist of both clergy and volunteer team members.

We recognize that we are NOT the healers, but believe that healing comes through God's Holy Spirit.  We are also not counselors, but we ask the Wonderful Counselor to do what needs to be done.  We invite Jesus Christ into the places where we are hurting, because we believe in the love and power of God's only Son.

Director of Healing Ministries

Pastor Debbi Mygatt
Pastor Debbi has been leading the healing ministry at Jesse Lee Memorial since 2002, after having been a visitor and member since 1990.  In July of 2008, she received an appointment by the bishop to be a licensed local pastor, and to serve here in her home church.  Her ministry focus is to encourage people to grow spiritually, and to connect with the healing love of Jesus Christ.  Many people have received training through the prayer and healing courses offered each year at Jesse Lee, and have come from several churches and denominations.  Debbi is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she received bachelor's degrees in education, and in visual and performing arts.  She and her husband, Peter, have five children; Sarah, Emily, Amanda, Joe and Sean, and have lived in Ridgefield since 1980.
